The Young Player Bursary Award by Pickleball Pro Retreats, in partnership with Fox Pickleball, is designed to give young talent the support they need to grow, compete, and thrive in the sport they love.
What is the Young Player Bursary Award?
The Young Player Bursary Award was created to open doors for aspiring pickleball players under 18. We believe every talented young player deserves the chance to develop their skills, compete at higher levels, and experience opportunities that may otherwise be out of reach
This annual award provides selected players with:
- ✅ Full playing kit and equipment
- ✅ Mentoring and coaching from top PPR coaches
- ✅ A place at a Pickleball Pro Retreats training camp
- ✅ £500 towards travel and national competitions

At Pickleball Pro Retreats, our mission has always been to grow the game and support the pickleball community. By investing in young players, we’re helping build the next generation of talent who will carry the sport forward.
This bursary is more than an award it’s a commitment to providing opportunities, coaching, and resources for players who may not otherwise have access to them.

Run by a team of dedicated pickleball enthusiasts, Fox not only creates great products but also actively supports the development of players at all levels making them the perfect partner for this initiative.
Meet the 2025/26 Award Winner: Ben Streets
We are proud to announce 13-year-old Ben Streets as the 2025/26 Young Player Bursary Award recipient.
Ben, a Ryde Academy student and Ryde Mead Tennis Club pickleball player, has already demonstrated incredible dedication to pickleball. Not only is he developing quickly as a player, but he also gives back to his community by helping at club sessions and supporting the growth of the sport locally.
Keep an eye out for Ben’s journey throughout the year as he trains, competes, and continues to grow as a player!
